2021年製 Suhr Pete Thorn Signature Standard Black Fenderにマスタービルダーとして在籍したジョン・サー氏が代表を 務める、JS Technologies, INC.が保有するハイエンドギターブランド Suhr。 本機は、セッションギタリストとして世界的に活躍するPete Thorn氏のシグネイチャーモデル。 近年の活動でメインとして使用しているSuhr Standardをベースに、彼の求める実戦的スペックを落とし込んだ一本。 ブラックトップにチェリーバックという精悍かつ色気のあるルックスは何とも魅力的。 ボディには3/16インチ厚の2Pプレーンメイプルトップにチェンバード構造のマホガニーバックを使用。スタンダード・ディンキーシェイプを採用しており、取り回しと鳴りを高次元で両立。 ネックにはマホガニー、指板にはインディアンローズウッドを採用。 シェイプはEven C Slim .800”-.800”で、握り込みすぎない絶妙な厚みが素早いポジション移動と快適なフィンガリングを可能に。 また、10-14インチのコンパウンドラディアス指板にミディアムサイズのステンレスフレットを組み合わせることで、ローポジションのコードワークからハイポジションのベンディングまでストレスのない演奏性を実現。 ヘッド裏にはレーザー刻印による本人サインが施され、シグネイチャーとしての特別感も演出。 クロームカラーで統一されたクールな外観のハードウェア類も抜かりなく、 ブリッジにはWilkinsin Locking Tremoloを搭載し、ダブルロッキングに匹敵する高いチューニング安定性を確保しながら、弦交換やセットアップもスムーズに。 マシンヘッドにはギア比18:1のロッキングチューナーを装備し、精密且つ安定したチューニングを提供。 ピックアップにはThornbucker(Neck)とThornbucker+(Bridge)をマウント。 50年代PAFを彷彿とさせるクリアで立体的、そして表現力豊かなトーンをアウトプット。 さらに、Suhr初となるエスカッションマウントを採用し、ヴィンテージライクな佇まいと高級感も両立。 コントロールには5Wayスイッチとパラレル接続を組み合わせたピート仕様の特別なワイヤリングを採用。ノイズに強く、ハムバッカーの力強さからシングルコイルライクな抜け感まで多彩なサウンドを選択可な機能美溢れる仕様。 ルックス・サウンド・演奏性。すべてが現場基準で磨き上げられた完成度の高いシグネイチャーモデル。 細かな擦り傷などはあるが美観ある1本。 演奏用に調整されたプレイヤーズコンディション。 |
